Astrology
Astrology
is a pure science. Predictions is applied astrology. The science involves mathematical
calculation for the precise location of planets and the signs of Zodiac at
a given instance. The astrological chart (like the birth chart) is basically
a chart of the heavens at a particular time. The sky above is divided into
twelve sections also know as the twelve houses. At any particular time one
of the house or that slice of the sky is rising at the eastern horizon which
makes it the rising sign or the ascendant. The various planets are placed
in there respective astronomical place in the chart.
'Predictions' are the accurate deduction of the calculations, involving techniques
under the present social and environmental conditions. Naturally, the practitioner
must be well experienced, knowledgeable, wise and impartial because Knowledge,
Experience and ability to translate the ancient text to current situations
goes into correct and practical interpretation of this chart.
Since ancient time astrology has been used by Kings and kinsmen for guidance.
And basically that is what the function of astrology is. It is a guiding science
and not a binding science. It's guidance can help you make wise decisions
and reduce the impact of unhappy events.

Interpretation
of the birth chart Basics will introduce you to the most basic concepts and
elements in Vedic Astrology. It covers the zodiac used, the way the chart
is drawn, and gives you an understanding of the Grahas
(Planets), Rashis (signs), Bhavas (houses)
and Nakshatras. It also introduces you to the lordships
of the Bhavas, and the use of the Lagna (Ascendant), which are based on the relationship of
the Grahas and the Bhavas,
and the Rashis and the Bhavas
respectively. This section also explains the most basic interaction between
the Grahas: Conjunctions and aspects. Interpreting
Planets provides an in-depth approach to understanding a unique nature of
each Graha in any particular horoscope. This includes a precise
distinction between the strength, auspiciousness and quality of a Graha. Interpreting houses elaborates on the various techniques
used to interpret how a bhava will function in the
chart and estimate how the areas of life represented by the bhava will manifest in one's life.
Interpreting
the chart integrates the previous two sections and completes a basic level
of the chart analysis. Varieties of charts introduces
you to some other types of charts that are often used to enrich the basic
analysis of the birth chart. All the principles of the earlier section can
now be applied in additional contexts. Divisional charts
elaborates in detail on the use of one of the chart types introduced
in the previous chapter. This chapter concludes the first part of the tutorial,
dealing with interpreting the chart. Predictions The earlier chapters dealt
with interpreting the chart without concern for the timing of life events,
and predicting when various potential will manifest. The next three sections
deal with the subject of timing the predictions. The Dashas
section will explain how the planets are activated in cycles, and cycles within
cycles. The Transits section will explain how the ongoing movement of the
planets affects the natal chart.

Muhoorta :
Talking
in a strict scientific sense, all things in this Universe are finite, all
except two. Time and Space. Time had no beginning and is going to have
no end. That means that there was no point, no instance at which we can say
that time came into existence, or time started. And in the same way, we can
not say that at such and such instance, time is going to exist no more, or
its going to stop running. Similarly, space has no dimensions.
It doesn’t start anywhere and doesn’t end anywhere. The modern man has always
tried to understand both the elements and travel at will in them but has found
almost no success so far.
There
are innumerable influences casted by both these
elements on man. They effect the human life significantly.
And the ancient sages understood this only too well. And through the powers
of the mind and soul, through concentration and meditation, through various
super-concious and sub-concious energies
and powers, through super-human intellect and divine bliss, they understood
all these factors beyond the reach of any modern day technology. They saw
and understood, how time and space influence us, how stars and planets in
the sky effect us and how significantly they can change a man’s course of
life .
And
they understood the most important thing too. And that is how man can change
the course of his own future and lead an amazingly superb and successful life
by working in alliance with the stellar bodies. And … Muhurta
is the most important concept they discovered.
Muhurta
is the selection of the best date and time for performing any work. It helps
in concentrating the energy of the planets and other astrological factors
in an auspicious way so as to nullify the evil influences and make the result
of the work performed most fruitful. It helps in counteracting the obstructions
provided by the birth chart of a person and neutralize
or overcome the loss mentioned therein.
It
synchronizes the energy of the person, the stars and the event itself so as
to make it utmost advantageous to the person performing the work.
So,
whenever you are going in for some important consideration of your life, which
either takes a significant amount of your time and energy or is going to make
its impact on your life for quite sometime, then you should perform that action
in accordance to the Muhurta, so that it can be of utmost advantage to you and
you can lead a much better, happier, satisfactory and gratified life.
